BSA/AML is the US anti-money-laundering regime: the Bank Secrecy Act and its rules in 31 CFR Chapter X. Diligio Compliance tracks the programme those rules require, the pillars, customer due diligence, monitoring and reporting, with evidence kept current and cross-mapped to your ISO 27001 and SOC 2 work.

What BSA/AML is

The Bank Secrecy Act is US law, administered by FinCEN and examined by the federal banking agencies and other functional regulators. Covered institutions must run a written AML programme with a designated officer, internal controls, training, and independent testing, verify who their customers are, monitor transactions, and report suspicious and large cash activity.

There is no BSA/AML certificate. Examiners judge whether the programme is reasonably designed, whether it actually runs, and whether you can evidence both. That makes recordkeeping and a clear audit trail the practical heart of the obligation.

How Diligio Compliance helps

The programme, as a control register

The AML pillars as controls you can point at: designated officer, internal controls, training, and independent testing, each with status, owner, proof, and last-reviewed date.

Due diligence and reporting evidence

Keep the evidence behind customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, and your SAR and CTR processes linked to the controls it supports, so nothing is reconstructed the week before an examination.

An agent that proposes, a human that certifies

The agent works the control list and proposes a status with evidence cited beneath it. A person reviews the diff and certifies before anything becomes your stated posture, with a full audit trail and a kill switch.

Reuse from ISO 27001 and SOC 2

Controls are cross-mapped to ISO 27001 and SOC 2, so the governance, access, and recordkeeping work you have already done is reused rather than repeated.

Frequently asked questions

Does Diligio Compliance make my firm BSA/AML compliant?

No. Compliance is your accountability as the covered institution, and it is assessed by your examiner. Diligio Compliance is the tooling that helps you run the programme, hold the evidence, and show your work when asked.

Is there a BSA/AML certification?

No. There is no certificate to hold. The Bank Secrecy Act sets obligations that examiners test, so what matters is whether your programme is reasonably designed, operating, and evidenced.

Is BSA/AML support available now?

Yes. BSA/AML is live in Diligio Compliance, backed by its own control catalog. Talk to us and we will enable it and help you scope the programme to your institution.
